Poverty Reduction Strategy Report: Board of Directors’ meeting February 20, 2008
MOVED THAT the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce supports, in principle, the
Social Planning Council Community Strategy to Reduce Poverty AND THAT the
Advocacy Committee review the strategy to determine what, if any, role the chamber can
fulfil in facilitating the recommendations in the strategy….CARRIED.

MOVED THAT the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce include in its messaging
and public policy positions, where appropriate, the chamber’s support for the
recommendations in the Poverty Reduction Strategy Report, especially with respect to
affordable housing and public transportation….CARRIED.
