Michael Macnamara, Chair

Michael is a barrister, solicitor and notary at Conroy Scott LLP, a well-known law firm situated in Sudbury’s downtown. Michael practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on estate, real estate and construction law.

Bryan Welsh, 1st Vice Chair

Bryan is the Regional Human Resource Manager for MacLean Engineering

Bryan Welsh graduated from Business Administration in 1997 from Canadore College and in 2004, he completed his post graduate studies in Human Resources Management from Cambrian College. Pursuing his career aspirations, Bryan became an active member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) and has earned his Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) Designation. He currently has over 10 years of Human Resources Management experience.

Cora DeMarco, 2nd Vice Chair

Human Resources Manager at Technica Group Inc.

Cora DeMarco is the Human Resources Manager at Technica Mining, a Division of Technica Group Inc; the largest privately owned mining contractor in Ontario, based in Lively. Cora received her honours degree in Political Science from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University in 2009 and a Human Resources Graduate Certificate from Cambrian College in 2010. Shortly after graduating, Cora joined Technica Mining where she has also held the positions of Safety and Training Coordinator and Human Resources Generalist.

Alyson Laking, Treasurer

Alyson Laking is employed as the Business Development Manager for the Laking Group of Companies. She works out of her office at Laking Toyota, working closely with the management team at Northern Nissan, Imperial Collision Centre and Forest & Lawn Equipment Services Ltd.

Tracy Nutt, Immediate Past Chair
Tracy Nutt is co-owner of ServiceMaster of Sudbury and Build North Construction Inc. She is a lifelong resident of Sudbury, having been born, raised and educated here. She graduated from Cambrian College in the accounting program. She and her husband Tony, who is also her business partner, have 2 sons, one of who is working with them in the family businesses.
Debbi M. Nicholson, President & CEO

A native Sudburian, Debbi Nicholson is the President and CEO of the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and is in her 39th year with the chamber, making her one of the longest-serving chamber executives in Canada today.  As a strong community supporter and builder, Debbi has served on a number of local, provincial and national committees and boards in addition to serving the chamber managers’ associations at both the provincial and national levels.  Debbi has been recognized for her leadership with numerous awards from her peers, the province and Canada.
