Chamber’s succession planning videos garnering national recognition

Greater Sudbury, September 13, 2017: The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce is one of five finalists in the 2017 Chambers Competition, an annual competition among chambers of commerce across Canada.

The theme of this year’s competition is “Telling Your Chamber’s Story through Video”. The chamber is being recognized for the videos it produced in order to raise awareness around succession planning.

“These videos are the result of the hard work of our chamber volunteers and they should be proud that the chamber is a finalist,” said Debbi Nicholson, President & CEO, Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. “The aim of this competition is to profile chambers of commerce that are innovative in their work. Being selected as a finalist celebrates the fact that our members are forward thinking and finding creative ways to address the challenges facing the business community.”

The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce is up against the Greater Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce and the Oakville Chamber of Commerce for the award.

The finalists will each present at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM in Fredericton, New Brunswick on September 22 – 25. The winner will be selected by delegates attending the AGM from across Canada.
