GREATER SUDBURY, September 03, 2021 – Join the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce at their 126th Annual General Meeting (AGM) with Peter Xavier on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Bryston’s On the Park from 5:00 PM – 9:.00 PM, presented by Levert. Peter Xavier, Vice President, Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations, A Glencore Company will be the keynote speaker for the evening. Peter will provide an overview of the Glencore Nickel Business in Sudbury including exploration, mining, milling and smelting operations.

Hear a progress report on Glencore’s Onaping Depth Project located at Craig Mine. As society increasingly demands a transition to a low-carbon economy, the Onaping Depth Project is building the mine of the future, an all-electric underground fleet that will take Glencore to new depths to attain the resources needed to advance everyday life and extend Glencore’s mine life in the Sudbury Basin.

The AGM is an evening to network with chamber members, reflect on the chamber community’s accomplishments over the past year, and learn about the chamber’s vision for the coming year. The chamber will unveil its new Strategic Plan during the evening.
