Be a voice for business (500 x 500 px) (1)

We are seeking members to join our Advocacy Committee and task forces for the 2026-2027 term.

These groups are made up of Board directors and Chamber members and play an important role in addressing issues impacting our local business community, influencing decisions and shaping the direction of our ongoing advocacy efforts.

  • The Advocacy Committee provides leadership to help guide the Chamber’s municipal, provincial and federal priorities. Its role is to identify challenges and champion solutions that support economic growth across Greater Sudbury. It is supported by two task forces focused on key municipal issues affecting the local business community.
  • The Impact of Homelessness, Mental Health and Addictions Conditions on Business Task Force researches and identifies actions and partnerships to address the impacts of these challenges on businesses. The task force does not address social services, as there are experienced groups dedicated to this work, but instead brings forward business perspectives, experiences and ideas on this complex, community-wide issue.
  • Formed through the merger of the former Red Tape and Municipal Financial Accountability Task Forces, the Municipal Efficiency and Accountability Task Force is focused on responsible municipal spending, greater transparency and making it easier to do business through streamlined regulations.

Applications close August 14, 2026.
