(July 2017) The Ontario Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, published Talent in Transition: Addressing the Skills Mismatch in Ontario, a report that indicates that Ontario businesses are finding it more and more challenging to recruit qualified staff. The report was developed in partnership with leading officials in the private and educational sectors, and includes exclusive new data on skills development in Ontario. Half of Ontarians are concerned that their skills will either become obsolete or lose value in the coming decade.

The report outlines a strategy that unites government and industry to combat this economic roadblock: improving transition from school to workplace, improve labour market outcomes, develop a modernized apprenticeship system. Read the report here.
