The Board of Directors at the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce urges the Government of Ontario to consider in its entirety the Roadmap for Economic Growth, as well as the other suggested actions, contained within the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s report, “Supporting Economic Growth in Uncertain Times,” and its 2023 pre-budget submission.
On a more regional scope, the following issues have been identified by our members as significant:
- Extend exemptions to the Non-Resident Speculation Tax;
- Continue to promote the development of the Ring of Fire;
- Create a one-stop-shop concierge service for small business;
- Continue to drive for the completion of the four-laning of Highway 69; and
- Work with the Federal Government to make permanent the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) project.
