The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce participated in the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM in Ottawa. Representing the Sudbury chamber were, front row, left to right, Geoff Hatton, 1st Vice Chair, and Anthony Davis, Chair. In the back row, left to right, Arron Pickard, Policy and Government Relations Manager, and Debbi Nicholson, President and CEO.

On October 14 and 15, Sudbury chamber delegates participated in the Canadian chamber Annual General Meeting and Convention in Ottawa. We were joined by over 400 local chamber of commerce colleagues and community business leaders to discuss the economic and political issues affecting Canadian business.

Policy resolutions from across Canada were also debated at the AGM. Sudbury chamber’s policies, Critical Minerals – Critical for Everything From Batteries to National Security, passed by a vote of 95.09%, and Helping Industries & Communities Transition to a Net Zero Economy, passed by 98.7%.
