Last week, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce released their Pan Am report, Beyond the Finish Line: Ensuring a successful legacy for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am & Parapan American Games.
Beyond the Finish Line identifies the crucial steps that governments and the private sector must take in order to ensure that the Pan Am Games leave a positive, lasting legacy in the province. The report then assesses Ontario’s progress against those steps. The OCC finds, on the whole, that Ontario has made excellent progress on a number of fronts and is in a strong position to capitalize on the Games. However, there are key actions that need to be taken in the next year to ensure that the Games are a slam dunk for Ontario.
