Media Release: Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce Supports Council’s Arena Decision
The chamber urges development of the project as expeditiously as possible

Greater Sudbury, June 28: The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce wishes to congratulate city council on selecting a site for the new arena/events centre and True North Strong on their successful proposal. This project has the potential to transform Greater Sudbury and bring substantial economic growth to the community.

The chamber encourages city council to make the development of this project as expeditious as possible. There are many steps before the new arena will be completed, so it is critical that work begin as quickly as possible.

“We are pleased to see council make a decision on a site for the new arena,” said Tracy Nutt, Chair of the Board, Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. “Now we would like to see the city expedite the project. There is a lot of work to be done before we can see the full benefits of the new arena, so we need to get started right away.”
