GREATER SUDBURY, January 17, 2019 – On January 22nd, join the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce as they host Paul Lefebvre, MP Sudbury and Parliamentary Secretary for Natural Resources, for a keynote address at the second annual PEP (Procurement, Employment and Partnerships) Conference and Tradeshow, presented by SNC-Lavalin and in partnership with the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.

PEP is designed to ignite industry-wide discussions on ways Ontario can build and benefit from innovative supply chain management, address the shortage of skilled workers, and build progressive partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. This will include panel discussions on developing and sustaining local procurement frameworks, strategies to develop local and regional work forces, and the advantages of partnerships.

About Paul Lefebvre:

An accomplished tax lawyer, business owner, and former Commissioner to the Human Rights Commission of Ontario, Paul Lefebvre is a resident of Northern Ontario with a passion for improving his community.

A music enthusiast, Paul is the founder and Chair of the Jazz Sudbury Festival, the past chair of the Sudbury Community Foundation, past chair of the 2011 Canadian Francophone games, and past Vice-President of l’association de la presse francophone – the only Canadian network of newspapers for Francophone minority communities.

Paul taught international taxation at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa and has written many articles on the subject of taxation that have appeared in numerous publications, including Lawyer’s Weekly and the Canadian Tax Journal.

Paul is married to Dr. Lynne Giroux, a dermatologist, and together they have three young children.
