Dear valued members and partners,

These are unprecedented times.  The on-going coronavirus has introduced extraordinary challenges to the health of our communities, the prosperity of our businesses, and the strength of our economy.

Our Chamber Team wants you to know that we understand the challenges you are facing and are here to support you.  We are in regular communication with all three levels of government and have been asking questions, raising concerns, and advocating on your behalf.  We are working collaboratively with Public Health Sudbury and District, the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation, and other stakeholder groups to share information and resources for the benefit of the community.  Our priority for the coming weeks and months will be to ensure that our members and our community get through this – TOGETHER.

We are doing our part to prevent community spread of the virus by postponing or cancelling all our chamber events for the next few months.  We have however, for your benefit, introduced a series of interactive webinars covering a variety of topics that may be of assistance and interest to you.  Our first two Chamber Live sessions will provide information from and access to a HR lawyer and a professional accountant.  In addition to them sharing valuable information to help you manage through this difficult time, you will be able to pose any questions you may have, and they will respond to them.  For additional information on these FREE webinars click here.

We have created a portal on our website dedicated to providing toolkits, resources, and up-to-date information from all levels of government so that your business has its best chance to manage through the coronavirus.  You can access the portal on our website at www.sudburychamber.ca/covid-19.  Give us feedback on anything you would like to see added to this website!

Our Membership Account Managers, Jeff and Taylor, will continue to reach out to each of our members to listen to your concerns and to respond to your questions.  If you have not already heard from one of them, please expect a call in the coming days.  They are calling to listen and to help.  Tell us your concerns and your challenges, and how best we can assist you in these trying times.  All chamber staff remain available via email to assist you in any way we can.  Our email addresses are listed on our website.

Please do your part to flatten the curve.  Keep using physical distancing practices, remember to wash your hands frequently and cough into your elbow, eat healthy and exercise, and continue to stay positive.  We remain committed to helping you navigate this challenge.  We will get through this – TOGETHER.

Good health and all the best.
