The Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s AGM & Convention represents one of the most significant opportunities for business leaders from across the province to come together to network with peers, debate policy issues important to the Ontario business community, and shape advocacy agenda for the year ahead. This year’s AGM took place in Brampton from April 28-May 1, 2022 where policy resolutions from all Ontario chambers were debated. The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce submitted three policy resolutions and all of them received overwhelming support from delegates.

The policy resolution titled, Create and Implement a Provincial Strategy to Address Homelessness, Mental Health and Addictions, co-authored with the Chamber of Commerce Brantford-Brant, received 100 percent support from the delegates.

The policy resolution titled, Investment in Mining Innovation to Support the Critical Minerals Strategy, also received 100 support from the delegates.

And the policy resolution titled, Investing in Northern Ontario’s Highway Infrastructure, received 94.8 percent support from the delegates.
