(February 2018) The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, published the 2018 Ontario Economic Report, which includes the annual Business Confidence Survey. The survey revealed that businesses in Greater Sudbury saw an 8 percentage point decline in confidence in their own business’ economic well-being. Businesses also noted the rising costs of inputs and difficulty finding and retaining qualified staff as chief concerns.

The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce conducts business confidence surveys annually. This survey informs policy and positions moving forward and helps focus the chamber’s advocacy to better serve the membership. The Ontario Chamber network will keep providing proactive recommendations to government at all levels to alleviate the concerns of the business community in the province. Read the full report here.
