A panel of experts spoke this morning on how to successfully build working relationships with the growing aboriginal population.
The session was moderated by Dr. Pierre Zundel, from the University of Sudbury.

Demographic Profile: Dr. Darrel Manitowabi, Professor, University of Sudbury
Opportunities and Challenges: Rachel Pineault, VP HR and Northern Affairs, Detour Gold
Suzanne Shawbonquit shared the importance in taking the time to establish relationships. Dr. Darrel Manitowabi provided information on demographics and the importance of education, community and family to the Urban Aboriginal and Rachel Pineault expressed the significance of cross-cultural training in the workplace and gave advice on aboriginal hiring practices.
