Intake Worker

Department: Clinical Services
Employment Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours per Week: 35 hours per week
Work Location: 111 Elm St. Sudnury, ON

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Coordinator, Case Management, the Intake worker identifies individuals’ needs through a single point of access to CMHA programs. Information can be provided to individuals through a brief service, family support and/or telephone referrals to community services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma or Degree in a Human Service area
• 1-2 years related experience
• Registration, in good standing, with a regulating professional body (e.g. OCSWSSW), or working towards registration; or Certification, in good standing, with a professional certifying organization* within health or social service fields (e.g. CPRRP from PSR Canada), or working towards certification.
• Bilingual requirements will be posted in accordance with the FLS Designation Plan. Bilingualism is essential for Intake positions. If a position is designated bilingual and no bilingual candidates (both internal and external) meet the qualifications, unilingual candidates may be considered.

Salary information:
Bachelor – Hourly, Step 2: $25.48 – Step 5: $29.98
Diploma – Hourly, Step 2: 22.99 – Step 5: $27.04

*Successful candidates for this position will start at Step 2 of the salary grid.
